Neuro Peak Review – Nootropic By Zhou Nutrition

What Is Neuro Peak

Neuro Peak ReviewNeuro Peak is a nootropic supplement, manufactured by a company called Zhou Nutrition. They do provide a wide range of health products, however all of them are sold on Amazon only. There are a lot of contradictory reviews online about Neuro Peak, which is unusual. Some of these are also out-dated as Zhou Nutrition did recently make improvements to the ingredients used. This review will remain as impartial and will stick to the facts, allowing you to make your own choice.

The reported benefits of using this nootropic are;

  • Increased Brain Power
  • Improved Focus and Concentration
  • Reduce Anxiety
  • Improve Mood and Lower Stress Levels

As mentioned it is only sold on Amazon, but the benefit of this is that there are a lot of reviews of the product. To be fair to Neuro-Peak the majority of the reviews are positive and the price is reasonable when compared with alternatives.

Neuro Peak New Formulation

As mentioned the ingredients used in Neuro-Peak have changed. Previously they did seem to contain a lot of filler ingredients, with some decent ingredients simply not having enough in there to be effective.

The old formula contained;

  • St. Johns Wart – 250mg
  • DMAE – 50mg
  • N-Acetyl-L Carnitine HCI – 50mg
  • L-Glutamine – 150mg
  • Phosphatidylserine – 125mg
  • Ginkgo Biloba – 50mg
  • Vinpocetine – 2mg
  • Bacopa Monniera – 100mg
  • Huperzine A – 10mcg

Overall the ingredients are not that bad to be honest with you. Bacopa, Huperzine A and Phosphatidylserine are very well known nootropic ingredients. Looking at the dosage though, I do think it was lacking.

The new formula contains;

  • Vitamin B-12 – 500mcg
  • Bacopa Monnieri – 300mg
  • Phosphatidylserine – 100mg
  • Ginkgo Biloba – 100mg
  • Rhodiola Rosea – 50mg
  • DMAE – 50mg

As you can see Neuro Peak has made some big changes to the formula with some improvements.

Bacopa Monnieri

Previously only having 100mg, it was certainly lacking. The dosage would have been to low to see any real benefits. It has however since been increased to an impressive 300mg, more than enough. You will see Bacopa in many nootropics as it has had a large amount of studies to show that it really does help improve memory.

The results that people see from this ingredient do take time to show, therefore you want to be using it for at least 4 weeks. Even though results are slow to start, they do increase as time goes by and also stay in the system for some time after you stop taking the nootropic.

See more about Bacopa Monnieri here; https://bulkingtime.com/nootropics/bacopa-monnieri/

Phosphatidylserine

Another ingredient that is very common in nootropic stacks. There have been studies that had shown it can help improve memory. It has also shown that when older people use it, cognitive decline is reduced. This ingredients dosage has been decreased slightly, although still enough to see decent results.

Ginkgo Biloba

A very simple ingredient, it works by increasing blood flow to the brain. More blood results in more oxygen and thus improved brain functions. The old formula did contain 50mg, however this was increased to 100mg. There is potential risks of side effects with high dosages, 100mg should be enough to see benefits but no side effects.

Rhodiola Rosea

A completely new addition to Neuro Peak, with a decent 50mg. Once it was one of the most popular nootropic ingredients to have in a stack, however it is becoming less popular. It is still a decent ingredient but there are others that may be slightly better.

Rhodiola Rosea is used as it helps to improve mental performance and focus, even when in a stressful situation. This is a perfect nootropic to stack when looking for a supplement to aid during exams, job interview or a high pressure job.

DMAE

All Nootropic stacks should have an ingredient that helps to boost Choline and this is what DMAE does. It helps to improve the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine, aiding in memory function and cognitive improvements.

There are many ingredients that help with increase Choline and to be honest DMAE is not the best, it is also fairly low dosed. I would have prefered them to have used something like Alpha GPC, which is more effective.

In summary of the Ingredients..

It is somewhat frustrating as Neuro Peak have improved their formula. There have been some great improvements such as the increased Bacopa and the removal of Huperzine A. It does in my opinion still fall short in certain areas such as using DMAE and having a lot of the Vitamin B12.

I still think some more research needs to be done, as there are other nootropic stacks that are 100% better formulated. To give Neuro-Peak some bonus points, they do show the dosages which some companies still seem to avoid…

Neuro Peak Side Effects

Looking at the ingredients, very few people should suffer any side effects. The nootropics that have high dosages are all researched to being safe, IE Bacopa and Phosphatidylserine. Many of the ingredients are completely natural so I would be very surprised if they caused any problems.

The most I have heard people experience is a headache or dry mouth.

It is however important to note that DMAE should NOT be taken by women that are pregnant or breastfeeding. During studies on rats, it did cause birth defects. There is a strong chance that the same could happen to humans, so my advise would be to stay well away and use an alternative.

I am not medically trained and we all react differently to different things. If you take medication or have any health conditions/concerns. I would recommend speaking to your doctor, as they would be able to advise you better.

Neuro Peak vs Adderall

How does Neuro-Peak compare against Adderall? Well Neuro Peak is natural and therefore has reported to contain a lot less side effects. Adderall has some potentially serious health conditions such as bladder pain, bloody urine, increased heart rate just to name a few.

Even though Adderall is used to help combat ADHD, I would personally recommend a safer alternative. It is even said that it can have addictive qualities. If I was going to pick either Neuro Peak or Adderall, I would certainly stay away from Adderall…

Winner: Neuro Peak

Neuro Peak vs Focus Factor

Focus Factor claim to be the number 1 brain supplement for memory and concentration. I personally find their gimmicks on the website of Einstein to be a little immature. They do have some decent ingredients such as Bacopa, Phosphatidylserine and a range of Vitamins. They also share some of the failings of Neuro-Peak such as DMAE. At least NeuroPeak share their dosages, if a company hides them then they are generally poor quality.

Winner: Neuro Peak

Neuro Peak vs Alpha Brain

I have actually done a review of Alpha Brain, you can find that here: https://bulkingtime.com/reviews/nootropic-supplements/alpha-brain-review/

Alpha Brain is probably one of the most well-known Nootropics in the US. It has had a lot of celebrities claim to use and endorse. To me it does seem that more money has been spent paying for these endorsements than actually creating a decent product.

The claimed ingredients are better in Alpha Brain. I like the addition of L-Theanine and Alpha GPC. My complaint with them though is that the dosages are again hidden in proprietary blends. Therefore you don’t actually know how much you are getting! As an example the Alpha GPC, Bacopa and Huperzine combined comes to 240 mg, which is seriously low!

Winner: Neuro Peak – (if I knew the dosages then Alpha Brain could have won…)

Neuro Peak vs Optimind

Optimind claim that you will be able to see results within hours of using it, which is a very bold claim. They also offer a free sample in order to get you to try the product out. I personally try to stay away from free samples, as they tend to automatically re-bill you.

When comparing the ingredients with Neuro Peak, they both share Vitamin B12, Bacopa and Phosphatidylserine. Everything else again is hidden behind a proprietary blend, personally id avoid.

Winner: Neuro Peak

Neuro Peak vs Mind Lab Pro

Now Mind Lab Pro has been getting a lot of attention and has been in the media a lot recently. It contains some ingredients that are the same IE Phosphatidylserine, Bacopa, Rhoiola Rosea and Vitamin B12. They have however added some great additions such as L-Theanine, Tyrosine and Lion’s Mane.

Unlike the other nootropics, Mind Lab Pro do share all of their dosages. I also like the fact that they do provide all the data on the studies done on the individual ingredients. Price wise Neuro Peak is cheaper, but Id be tempted to spend the extra money for a better product in this case.

Winner: Mind Lab Pro

Neuro Peak – Where To Buy

As I mentioned before, it is not possible to buy Neuro-Peak from their own website. It is only available to be purchased from Amazon and not websites such as GNC. Some people prefer this as Amazon is a company you can trust, however it also makes it harder to return items.

I personally like to buy directly from the store that I am purchasing from. If they do not sell on their own site, is there a reason why? For example is their site not secure? Are there legal issues to them not being able to sell….(I am sure there isn’t, but it does make you wonder)

Best Nootropic Supplements

best nootropics1All in all Neuro Peak is an okay product. It contains “some” decent ingredients, although I do still think improvements can be made. The main thing that it has going for it, is the price. It is very cheap at only $20.

If you are serious about using a Nootropic and seeing the very best results, you might want to consider an alternative product. One that has been formulated with well respected nootropic ingredients and that actually has a decent dosage.

I have gone through a number of different Nootropic supplements. Analyzing everything about them, like I have done with this Neuro peak review. This has allowed me to find the very best nootropic supplements. Find out which ones I recommend below.
